Microsemi Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Microchip Technology Inc. offers – among others – a comprehensive portfolio of timing and synchronization devices and precise time solutions. From the Microchip market leading portfolio RelNet has experience primarily with time servers, which are generally used for systems that require an accurate timestamp and are isolated from the Internet.

Microsemi's NTP time servers can be used to precisely determine when events occur and to control time expiration processes. Microsemi’s advanced research and development of Global Positioning System (GPS) timing technology produces the most accurate GPS timing receivers in the world.

The Microsemi SyncServer products are a set of NTP/PTP servers that provide automated, end-to-end time distribution solutions to accurately and consistently set time on enterprise servers and desktops. The SyncServer S6xx Series family provides accurate and reliable time and synchronization services, with unprecedented flexibility. The SyncServer S600 GPS/GNSS, Stratum 1 network time server provides a time signal with nanosecond accuracy, and also includes the security-hardened NTP Reflector technology, which is a real-time, hardware-based NTP packet identification and time stamping engine. The optional Rubidium Atomic Clock or OCXO oscillator upgrade is also available on some SyncServer devices.

Microsemi products are highly configurable and capable of many different time and frequency functions. Microsemi's synchronization systems support today's precise timing standards, including GPS-based timing, IEEE 1588 (PTP), Network Time Protocol (NTP), Synchronous Ethernet and DOCSIS timing.
